Field narrowed from 64 to 32 teams:

It is too early to predict anything after Thursday and Friday's first round action so hang on and hope your players see a 3rd game this year.

- Joseph Young - Matt & Jeremiah's 7th round draft pick helped Oregon squeeze past Okalahoma State.  Young scored 27 points.

Another year with more bracket busters in the opening round games.  First time in history 5 games finshed with 1 point difference  Quite a few of the outcomes of these games affected our draft picks and possibly your position in the game.

# 14 Georgia State upset # 3 Baylor by scoring the last 13 points in the game, Final Score of 57-56

For the first time in many years, no # 12 seeds beat a  5 seed.  Northeastern lost to Notre Dame in the Midwest regional 69-65.  The other closer call was # 5 Arkansas beating # 12 Wofford 56-53.

There were NO draft picks to score over 30 in the opening round, last year we had 3 over 30 an one of those hit 41  We did have 28 draft picks score 20 or better in the opening game.  12 scored double their average or better in the first game.  Rob Stenzel's pick of Quentin Snider of Louisville  hit for 16 points, 5 times his regular season average of 3.2  The Trevino team's pick of Fred VanVleet of Wichita State scored 27 points in the first game and he is still alive in the tournament.  VanVleet's regular season average was 12.5 points per game.  Noffke team pick of Zach August from Notre Dame hit for 25 which was double his season average of 12.5.

Another year with a fairly nice turnout at the open house Thursday and Friday.  We were expecting a few more on Friday but that didn't happen.

A big thank you to all that participated, it makes watching the games that much more interesting and exciting.

2nd: Bob Glinke - 332

3rd: Commissioner Krautstrunk - 322
