Through 2nd Round Games | |

Sweet 16 has been set:
While 2018 was a year of tournament uncertainty, 2019 has pretty much followed the seeding course. Not a lot of upsets thus far which is fairly unusual for the post season tournament. In the East bracket, all four top seeds advanced to the sweet 16: Duke, Michigan State, LSU & Viginia Tech. In the West bracket, all four top seeds advanced: Gonzaga, Michigan, Texas Tech and Florida State. In the South region, top 3 (Virginia, Tennessee, Purdue) are in plus # 12 Oregon. In the Midwest top 3 (North Carolina, Kentucky, Houston) are in, plus # 5 Auburn who beat # 4 Kansas in the round of 32. Current year: Team Trevino (Ralph, Nick and Sam Trevino) have a 51 point lead over 2nd place Commissioner Krautstrunk. As is usually the case, there are key games for everybody. Team Noffke (Mark & Steve Noffke & Bruce Martin) have the most players left in the tournament with 16 and are expected to jump from current 6th position to 2nd after the Sweet 16 games. Through 2nd round games - top 4 drafters (1-3 pay) - # draft team members in parenthesis: 1st: Team Trevino (3) - 599 2nd: Commissioner (1) - 548 3rd: Snyder team (2) - 530 4th: Dennis Hammer (1) - 528
Top 3 Leading Scorers in the tournament: Leader: Dave Eccles - Carsen Edwards (Purdue) - 68 pts (still in) Commissioner Krautstrunk - Zion WIlliamson (Duke) - 57 pts (still in) Matt & Jeremiah - Dedric Lawson (Kansas) - 50 pts (out)
+ / - calculations: Team Kremer (Ken Kremer, Bob & Tim Boldt, Anthony Loftus) are leading the calculation this year with a not so good -123 points already through only 2 games. They have 23 draft picks that have scored under their regular season pts per game average. The best player in the tournament so far through 2 games has been Dave Eccles' 1st round pick (3rd overall in the draft) of Carsen Edwards (Purdue). Edwards has gone off for 68 points scored through the first 2 games. His tournament average of 34 pts/game is 10.5 pts per game better than his reg season average. Amazing for a draft pick from a team seeded 3rd to be picked so early in the draft but Dave has proved us so wrong.
