The Championship Game has been locked in

<- Jared Culver, Dennis Hammer's 2nd round pick, will lead Texas Tech Red  Raiders in the championship game.  It's an extreme long shot but Culver would need to score 44 points against what is probably the stingiest defensive team in the nation to win the scoring title this year

FInal Four recap

In the first game of the Final 4 games on April 6, 2019, # 1 seed (South) Virginia were gifted a win on Saturday night.  Down 2 with the ball, first Virginia's Ty Jerome clearly double dribbled and the infraction was not called.  Then, with .6 seconds the officials blew the whistle on Auburn's Samir Doughty and said he fouled Kyle Guy as he attempted a desperation 3 pointer.  Guy calmly sank 3 free throws and the game was over with the final score Virginia 63 Auburn 62.  Auburn played hard in the tournament.  Even without one of their top players Chuma Okeke who was injured in the Sweet 16 game against # 1 seed North Carolina, they had also beaten the # 2 seeded Kentucky Wildcats in the Elite 8 to make the Final 4.

In the second game of the evening, # 3 Texas Tech limited # 2 Michigan State to 32% field goal shooting and closing with a 9-0 run winning the game 61-51.  This was the 19th time Texas Tech's held an opponent under 60 points during the season.  It marked Texas Tech's first time making the Final Four in the schools history and they are now going to the championship game Monday night April 8th.

Our game:

This year Dave Eccles is in the lead by only 4 points over 2nd place Team Trevino, crazy.  The projected winner based on regular season average has Eccles winning by 2 points, crazier.  I'm sure Dave would have been happier if Michigan State had beaten Texas Tech on Saturday night knocking 2 Team Trevino draft picks out of the game.  Team Noffke is sitting comfortably in the 3rd and final payout position.
