Trevino's 67th pick in the draft - Shabazz Napier U Conn

<- Shabazz Napier (Connecticut) was the selected in the 7th round, the 67th pick overall.  With the exception of the semi-final win over Florida where he scored 12 points, Napier was above his seasonal 17.8 average in the other 5 games.  He provided Ralph Trevino with a cumulative + 20 points for the tournament over his regular season average.  

Napier provided Ralph Trevino with an additional $25 bonus for being the leading scored in addition to the $10 he won for winning the draft round.

Teammate DeAndre Daniels finished a distant 2nd in scoring this year with 96 points scored, 31 points behind Napier.  Daniels, drafted by John Lehman in the 10th round, 100th pick overall averaged 16 a game in the tournament, almost 4 points a game more than the 12.3 he averaged during the regular season for a cumulative + 22 points for John.

The all time tournament scoring record is held by Glen Rice (Michigan) who in 1989 scored 184 points over 6 games for a 30.7 pts per game average.

Top 26 scorers from the tournament are shown below........ all drafters had at least one of their picks finish in the top 26 with SID team and Team Noffke having 4 apiece.  Only 4 players in this top 26 finished the tournament with a lower average per game than regular season.  Similar to last year, 11 of the 26 here were drafted 5th round on up to the 19th round.
